PROLOGUE TO THE TRAGEDY OF THE REVENGE.
When winter seizes proud Bellona's charms,
No more with rugged voice she sounds to arms,
Beholds her hardy sons forget their toils,
And, skill'd in arts, enjoy Thalia's smiles.
. . . [2 columns of dialogue]
The Speaker, having ended the prologue, salutes the audience
with his sword, and retires with it unsheathed.
God Save the King in a chorus of the whole house.
